The Shanghai Ranking places the UCA among the best in the world in Oceanography, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics and Environmental Engineering

The University of Cádiz is once again placed in the top 400 in the world in different reference subjects

international position in the 2020 edition of the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (ranking of Shanghai by subject), ranking among the 150 best universities in the world in Oceanography and continuing to be present in other areas where it has already It was among the 400 best universities in the world (Mathematics and Chemical Engineering), and being among the 401-500 best positioned in Engineering in Environmental Sciences.

These data confirm once again the scientific growth carried out by the University of Cádiz in recent years, with the consolidated presence of different subjects in the reference rankings. And they join the presence of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sports among the 100-150 most outstanding positions worldwide.

 

 

The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects collects the scientific projection of universities in the five continents and, among other indicators, assesses the number of publications indexed in InCites, their standardized citations index, faculty awards, publications in scientific journals with high impact or international co-authored publications.

Along with the international diagnosis of all universities in the world by subject, the Shanghai Ranking also integrates areas of interest in its analyzes. Since 2017, it details a total of 54 research topics, ranging from Natural Sciences, to Social Sciences, through Engineering, thus becoming a tool for the study of specialization and leadership of universities that appear collected.
