The renewal of the EFQM European Seal of Excellence, an opportunity to continue improving 7 November 2017
On April 21, 2018, the two-year period of recognition of the 400+ Seal of Excellence with which the University of Cádiz has ended. From the very moment that the University of Cádiz obtained this recognition almost two years ago, through its 2nd Strategic Plan, the University has been implementing the improvements that were suggested by the External Evaluation Comittee and trying to perfect the already established processes and results for the whole Institution.
All this renovation process, from the beginning, has been understood as an opportunity for the Institution to improve its activity and its results.
In this phase of the process, the Rector of the University of Cádiz decided to create a Strategic Improvement Group that would support the renewal of the EFQM seal. For this reason, this Group has been working since July 2017 to create a Report that gives a complete and accurate view of the activity and management carried out in our University.
The group is formed by: Juanma Alvarez Delgado, Mariví Martínez Sancho, José Torres Quirós, José Antonio Bablé Fernández, Manuel Gómez Ruiz, Candelaria Gallardo Plata, José Luis Marcos Vara, José Manuel Medina Gutiérrez, Milagrosa Sanles Pérez, Antonio J. González Rueda and Miguel Duarte Barrionuevo who will coordinate the group and technically lead the process.
On October 5, 2017, the Governing Council of the University of Cádiz received timely information on the renewal of this important seal.
The Group has had, since July 2017, several monographic work meetings and, on November 7, 2017, the Rector and his Management Team have received updated information on the tasks performed as well as the planned planning for the coming months.
