The UCA works on the establishment of the Network of Employment and Entrepreneurship Centers 3 September 2018

The UCA works on the establishment of the Network of Employment and Entrepreneurship Centers

It is composed of a representative of each faculty and center and its objective will be to strengthen the transversal character of the entrepreneurial culture and improve communication in the field of employment.

The Directorate General of Employment & Entrepreneurship of the Vice-Rectorate for Transfer and Technological Innovation of the University of Cádiz has organized the meeting to set up the Network of Employment & Entrepreneurship Centers, composed of one member from each of the faculties and centers, which make up the University of Cádiz.

Its main objective is to raise awareness of the importance of fostering the entrepreneurial culture and entrepreneurship training as a transversal competency for all degrees, as well as to publicize the employment activities that are carried out each year at the University of Cádiz.

In this first meeting, it was attended by representatives of all the university centers. In the same way, technicians from the Employment Unit of the UCA and technical staff from the University Enterprise Foundation of the province of Cádiz participated.

This Network will serve as a direct & bidirectional link between each Center and the Directorate General. It is also intended that each teacher or student of each school or faculty has a person of reference in these subjects in a closer way, which facilitates reaching more directly their requests or needs in this area.

Throughout the meeting, representatives of the Rector’s Delegation for the development of the Second Strategic Plan (PEUCA) approached attendants about the priorities of the University of Cádiz with regard to entrepreneurship and employment in the coming years, as well as in some of the master plans of university centers.

Similarly, Professor Antonio Ramos presented the results of the GUESSS report of the University of Cádiz. An analysis of the entrepreneurial attitude of university students that makes a comparison between more than 1,000 universities in the world.
