The University of Cádiz improves in volume and consolidates its performance according to the U-Ranking 2020

The indicators reveal that the UCA improves its general position in teaching, research and innovation

The University of Cádiz improves in global volume and is consolidated in the performance indicators according to the U-Ranking 2020, known a few days ago and carried out by the BBVA Foundation and the Valencian Institute for Economic Research (Ivie), which measures the activity of spanish universities in these two classifications (performance and volume) from different benchmarks.

In this way, the University of Cádiz improves the volume with a valuation of 1.4 (three tenths more than in 2019). This advance ranks the UCA in 18th place among all Spanish universities when last year it was located two positions lower (ranking 20). The indicator comes from the weighting of results in the fields of research, innovation and teaching.

Regarding performance, the global index of the University of Cádiz is 1.0, also improving the result of 2019 by one tenth, placing it in group 6 among the 12 that make up the ranking and occupying position 36 among the 70 universities analyzed. The data collected by the UCA is especially significant because it shares the position with a group of universities made up of Seville, Salamanca, Málaga and Pública de Navarra.

In the analysis of the different indicators that make up the U-Ranking, the University of Cádiz is above or average for many of them, as is the case of PDI / students, PDI doctor / PDI, admission statistics, public competitive resources for PDI doctor, research personnel contracts / budget, percentage of publications in international co-authorships, patents for PDI doctor and doctoral theses read by PDI doctor.
