The Club of Excellence in Management includes the 2nd PEUCA as a Good Practice in its Agora. 29 May 2020
The Club of Excellence in Management, whose mission is to enhance the global competitiveness of organizations through the values of excellence, facilitating an infrastructure to share knowledge, develop skills and give visibility to their levels of excellence, has decided to include the 2nd PEUCA as a Good Practice in its Agora.
The Good Practice, which is called “The complete life cycle of a Strategic University Plan: the case of the University of Cádiz”, is considered as a tool that has impact on five of the eight Values of Excellence of the EFQM Model: “Achieve success through the talent of people”, “Maintain outstanding results over time”, “Add value for customers”, “Lead with vision, inspiration and integrity” and “develop the capacity of the organization”.
The organization considers that one of the characteristics of a good practice is the possible implementation, with the necessary adaptations, in other departments or organizations. In the case of 2nd PEUCA, the level of applicability to other organizations, in the same or another sector of activity, is very high.
In our opinion, one of the most innovative aspects of the proposal is the integration of three key issues such as participation, communication and accountability through the dissemination of indicators, achievements and goals.
The results obtained, analyzed through measurement tools that are reflected, for example, in charts of indicators or with the tool of the “traffic light”, indicate that, after the 2nd PEUCA, our University is a more efficient organization with better results, which provides economic, cultural and social value to the region.
